doubleatheman macrumors 6502a May 27, 2009 628 0 Jun 7, 2010 #7 I agree with others, Apple made a mess when when it named the 3G It began to fix it's mess with it named the 3GS so that the next choice would be 4, simple and to the point. It's the 4th iteration, so 4 makes sense, a nice short name.
