First of all, I want to say Hello to everyone, just joined the forum.

Here is the issue:

Yesterday, for the first time ever, I decided to use a headset to listen to Pandora. So I listen for a few and also watch a few youtube videos. Finished doing all that, unplugged and continued on my work day. After work, I do my routinely calls to my fiancee and my brother. I call my brother and I notice that I don't hear anything, no ringing or anything at all. So after a few calls to my brother and fiancee, I make another call and put it on speaker and voila, I hear the ringing, they pick up a little upset thinking I was playing around with them, and I told them I was having issues with the phone and I switched from Speaker to regular phone usage and I couldn’t hear anything, put them back on Speaker and they said they heard me. I came home and read up online with some issues, so I did the plug in the jack and unplug the jack trick and nothing, I did hard reset, reset and hope it would be a software / OS thing and nothing. Still didn’t work, I plugged the headset back on and was able to hear and talk to them through that. I read online about the tricks and did the air can to see if any dust was inside, and followed others. Didn’t work. So then I header over to apple and told them the issue and they were very unhelpful because they said I needed an “appointment” and that coming at 8:50pm and them closing at 9:30pm was not good. I told them I need the phone for my job so I can answer client phone calls without using headset or speaker. They didn’t care what so ever to help me out. I told them the situation and they didn’t have any answer for me what so ever. Then after going back and forth argueing about the iPhone issue, they set an appointment with me for today and I told them, I’m missing a lot of phone calls because of this. The employee told me “it happened today and you come at this time?” and I told him, “I work all day today, unless you pay me for my time off, I will not leave work because of this.”

I ended up driving to Apple store for no reason just to drive back home, on top the entire situation, when I got home, I tried making a phone call through speaker and guess what? When put in Speaker mode, the mic does not work but I can hear them. I tried calling my mom’s cell and listen to it and all you hear is some whistling distorted sound but I can hear her. So now I am down to using the headset only which I hate using the headset for phone calls.

Anyone have any idea that can help me with this? I’ve tried all the tricks already and nothing. I have an appointment with them tonight at 8:45pm, but I am missing a lot of phone calls here at work and especially my Wedding Planning appointments today. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

p.s.

The Apple Store team does not have any good service what so ever.

i have no idea whythis posted in iPod Touch? I posted this in iPhone.

speaking of that, I received the confirmed appointment with them and the employee put the wrong information, he put me as iPod issue? he clearly kept repeating iPhone 4to me and knew it was a phone issue.

Repost this in the iPhone forum. You will more likely get responses in there. good luck to you.
