Can I restore my iphone 4 to 4.02 with out update the baseband.

What is the current firmware and baseband on the phone? And, to restore to anything other than 4.2.1, you need to have old SHSH files saved.

if you updated your baseband you can not go back you can downgrade the firmware. if you have blobs saved but you can not downgrade you baseband.

My phone is stuck on black screen,I try to restore I get message 3016/3022
when I connect to Tiny umbrella I get the massage my device is connect with
Saved SHSHs:
Iphone 4 4.2.1(8c148)
Iphone 4 4.2.b3(8c5115c)
Install firmware version 4.0.2
Install baseband version 01.59.00.ICE 2_6

I try to boot buy won't do any thing WTF ? any advice how to get back or get back to recovery mode.

Did you try Tinyumbrella's "Kick out of recovery..." option? If that doesn't work, try using Pwnagetool (Mac) or Redsnow (Windows) put phone into special DFU mode, and then, restore with 4.02 or 4.1 custom firmware fine (one that keeps the baseband). If that still fail, you only other option is to restore to official 4.2.1 because tha's the only SHSH files you have saved which would also update the baseband to 3.10.

Thank you,I already try to do redsn0w,sn0wbreeze with 4.1FW is fail I do not want to do the official 4.2.1FW,I guess for me to wait till the come out with sn0wbreeze for 4.2.1FW.

You only have the SHSH for 4.2.1 and 4.2 b3. Those are the only ios you can upgrade to.

Well, is your phone either factory unlocked or unlocked with ultrasn0w before? If it is the former then you are OK. The latter, you are pretty much hosed for now.

I bought the phone was on 4.0.2 and unlocked with 01.15.00 baseband, is stuck on black screen so I try to restored but can not because did not have SHSH save so my choice is update to 4.2.1 FW with 3.10.00 baseband,now I can not use my t-mobile service,now can I use at&t prepaid with my iphone 4.Can any tell me yes or no,thanks in advance for any advice.

It can not be unlocked at this time to be used with anything other than AT&T
