Hi all,
Yesterday I bought an iPhone 4. When I connected it to itunes it went through the normal setup procedure (with a picture of the iphone 4 at the beginning) and everything seemed to work fine. However, now when I connect to itunes, it goes through the same procedure again but recognising the phone as an iphone 3g or 3gs. I'm using a late 2009 macbook pro with Snow leopard 10.6.4 and the latest version of itunes. Help!?

Does it want you to set it up again as a new phone each time you connect it?

Or does it just show the wrong phone?

Thanks

It wants me to set up the phone again as an iPhone 3g or 3gs. But I tried again and found that if I continue the setup then press cancel, it works fine and recognizes the phone. Strange...
