hey guys

i have a iphone 4 on 4.3.5 tethered jailbroken through redsnow. and just now when i was trying to restore it so that i can get the jailbreak off iTunes gives me an error saying that the restore requested is not for this phone. iTunes automatically detects the current software to restore to so i don't know why this is happening. i would reset the setting right through the phone but last time i did that the phone bricked on a iPhone 3gs which was jailbroken as well. can someone help??

thanks

You can change it or make sure it points to Apple by using tinyumbrella.
Go to advanced and uncheck the box "set hosts to cydia"

Make sure you have the latest version of TU.
In the advanced section it should be the 3rd box from the top.
Make sure its unchecked.

o hmm so it can't be done through iTunes directly i have to restore it through tiny umbrella?

got latest version of TU unchecked the cydia host box tried restoring and still get the error saying device isn't eligible for the built...
