I feel bad for the people who spent countless hours trying to preorder then get screwed.
When it took me 5 mins using the Apple Store App loooooooool.

I reserved one with the app also but decided to pre-order as well. Who knows what its going to look like at the apple store on the 24th. I'll just stay at work and wait for them to bring to my desk.

+1. I couldn't agree with you more. I'm sure there are people that are indeed sad and/or upset that they couldn't preorder yesterday.
I actually told a coworker, "Preorder today (Tuesday) they may sellout or something else may delay things."
He replied, "Ahh I'm not worried, I'll preorder on the 17 or 18 when it's calmed down a bit."
today I came into work and boy was he crabby and PO'ed.
Told ya so.

Best Buys got em
Went into best buy 30 mins ago ordeedr 3 iphone 4's on family plan had to pay deposit of $50 each to be applied to purchase on 24th of June. They will call me with appointment to pay on 24th and pick up phones. Nothing could be easier. in and out in 14 minutes.

app only worked right away for those reserving at store and waiting in line. Not for those of us wanting it delivered.

I bet the advertising department at Apple is leaning back at their desks drinking an iced latte. We prolly won't see an iphone 4 commercial until February. By then the WWDC is only a couple months away.

I'm confused. Would it be still possible not to pre-order and just stand in line at the Apple store on the 24th and buy one there?
I hope that, in the rush to make these to fill orders, they don't let quality control slip
Too bad they won't get it in Canada till end of July, but the fact that they are going to be factory unlocked makes me want to just wait it out and buy it when I travel to Montreal in August.
Um its going to be interesting. Because fullfilling those who already paid for the phone will be priority. Or so you would think. Better be first in line!!
Although im not thrilled. I didn't make the 24th cut off. I don't get my iphone 4 until the 25th.

Because of the incredible volume of orders we received, there is a slight chance that some customers may receive their devices between June 25 and June 28. Rest assured, we are doing all we can to ship devices to customers for delivery on the 24th. You do not need to take any action at this point.
So looks like it's possible not everyone will get them on the 24th.

Man this suck, I pre ordered yesterday, everything went thru, got the confirmation screen, been waiting for a confirmation email...never got it, I just called my apple store that I reserved it at, and they said I'm not in their record...GREAT! he told me my best bet to get it on the 24th is to stay in line early, other than that I cant reserve anymore, looks like I'm gonna wait in line for 6 or 7 hrs...
I wonder if these things are going to get seriously backordered, I mean months.
we shall see.
It's rather unfortunate when this happens, as the people who successfully ordered yesterday will gloat conspicuously, creating unpleasant happy/unhappy threads.

I'm not buying mine until July 24th, and I'll be going to the Glasgow Apple Store to do so ... stock should (I'd imagine) be ok by then.
