But it can't go through your hands... That's the whole problem. I still think the bumper will help with the reception problem though.

radio signals are passing through your hands and body right now. along with cosmic rays and all other sorts of fun things. So yes it can. :)

LOL!
Yes it can!

You can even try it on a 3GS - just wrap you hands on the back top and bottom.

The signal cuts out COMPLETELY.

But when you hold the 3GS NORMALLY there is not even 1 bar drop.

Seems like the iPhone 4 design is fudged.

Just did, pinned the thing on the inside of my knee and cupped my hands around cupping it completely for a good 30 seconds, quickly pulled it out, still full bars. :D

I tried the "wrap your fingers around......." experiment and it went from full bars (5) down to 2, I made a call when it was at 2 and it sounded a little choppy.

Good thing I don't ever hold my phone like that.

I couldn't check to see if my 2g did the same thing since it's already been deactivated.

I'm more concerned with the yellow spots :(

@mra1989 - positive, i tried it and lost half my bars... HOWEVER I came from T-Mobile where my iPhone gets 3G in places my T-Mobile phones couldn't even get a signal, let alone even their subpar EDGE network

@mgmusicman94 - yes, rubber grounds the electrons in your body, that's why you ground yourself when you are working with computer hardware too..

@noobinator - refer to previous comment. Walls do not cary the static charge you do.

@wallyn - i've had weird inconsistincies with certain apps restarting - possible an iOS4 issue?

@LemmycautioN - what about that zagg invisible sheild? which one do you have, is it easy to install.. is it really 'invisible' and is it worth th einvestment compared to other cases?

Overall sort of glad I'm in a late group of preorders, hopefuly my batch will be resolved :D
