Ok so my iphone 4 went through the washing machine a few months ago. At first it didn't work, but i let it sit for about 4 months and then it started to work. The only problem was that the battery didn't function well and the iphone didnt show that it was charging but it actually is, and it doesn't show up on itunes.
So with that i replaced both the battery and the dock connector thinking it would fix it but i still have the problem with it not showing that its charging or connecting to itunes. Everything else is fully function including microphone.
Also my phone is jailbroken and on 5.1.1

Anyone know what might be wrong?

I would try a restore and get rid of the jailbreak before I would try fixing any other hardware problems. If that doesn't solve things, try cleaning the logic board and all the connectors to get rid of corrosion that probably built up over the four months.

If i do a factory reset while my phone is jailbroken will it freeze or anything.
Since i cant connect it to the computer i dont want it to get stuck, then be out a phone.

Hmm.. that's a pretty good question. Can't help you much on that one as I don't jailbreak. Try cleaning the connectors first then I guess, if you're worried :)
