Does anyone know if in any of the iOS 4.2 Beta fixes the proximity issues with iPhone 4? Or if there has been any reliable fixes that people have figured out?

It didn't fix it for me, but thats because I had restored from a back up and for some reason it was corrupt and thats what was messing it up. So I had to do a fresh restore, however I still have the screen turn on when I'm talking sometimes. I think it's my sensor.

If you plug into iTunes can you upgrade to 4.2? What are the differences between that and 4.1? I haven't had an issue with the proximity sensor. It seems like I've been really lucky with my iPhone.

No, the latest public version is 4.1 but there are some people who like me are having issues where when on the phone the screen will turn on causing people to dial numbers / put the call on hold / mute or even hang up so I was wondering if anyone knew if the 4.2 beta has fixed this issue.

The beta is only available for people who have signed up for the iOS SDK developer program.
