Hello guys,

I have an iPhone 4 which is locked to vodafone UK since I signed a pay monthly contract with them for two years.

A few weeks ago, my phone had some issues. I paid a visit to an Apple Store and it was replaced with another phone.

I'll be spending a few months in another country and I'd like to continue using my phone while I'm abroad.

Since my phone was replaced, is my replacement phone still locked to vodafone UK?

Thanks. :)

Yes, the replacement has the same properties when it comes to carrier set locks or unlocks as the phone you handed in to be swapped.
If that was the case they all would swap locked phones in order to get factory unlocked ones:)

Thanks everyone for the replies. Guess I'll need to make a request to vodafone UK to unlock my phone.

Applejuiced, what you said makes perfect sense. :)
