I just bought an Iphone 4 from someone and he had just reset the whole phone to clear it back to factory settings when I arrived. Since he clicked reset, it has been giving me the spinning wheel. It is a 16gb iphone that he says was nearly full. It's now two hours later so I'm wondering if this is typical or if I should try restoring it with itunes? Thanks! Sorry if this has been asked before

If it was jailbroken he shouldn't have reset/wiped it on the phone as this wont work.

You will probably need to put it into DFU mode and restore to get it up and running again

Sounds like you did what we tell people 20 times per day not to do.
You cannot do an erase all on a JB device.
You will now have to plug it to itunes and perform a DFU restore.

I didn't do it-the guy obviously didn't do a bit of research beforehand and I would have...but that seems to be what has gone wrong...I'll give that a shot, thanks 🙂
