Hoping someone can give me some insight on this. My iPhone 4 started acting wonky a couple of days ago. While using it, the screen would suddenly have a bunch of white lines and the screen would slowly fade out to completely white. The power button didn't bring it back on. When I tried a hard reset, it would reboot to the apple logo (normal looking screen with apple logo), but then freeze/get stuck in a reboot loop. The only thing that worked was restoring it. I was able to do this using someone else's computer, as I'm on vacation at the moment. It worked for a little bit, and then I started getting black screen blank outs instead of white. Sometimes hard resets worked to bring it back, sometimes I had to restore. The second day, the screen fade outs continued despite multiple restores, and just now it happened again, except this time the screen now has a white ring around the edges. Even when rebooting/restoring, the full screen is no longer black. It's hard to explain, but pictures are attached. My main questions are - has anyone ever had this happen, or know what the issue is? When I restored that first time, I updated the to the latest firmware. It's not jailbroken, and at this point it seems like a hardware issue instead of a software issue. I had this phone replaced by Apple in October 2010, but I guess the warranty doesn't reset, as the serial is showing out of warranty (I bought my original on launch day). Any help or thoughts are appreciated. I am attaching pictures.
