At first I thought he really was just too worried, but now I can see why. It definitely is smaller, at least smaller than my screen. I have no idea what could have caused it. Did you JB and install some weird apps/tweaks ?

But yeah, get better lighting (try to take a picture when you have daylight) and try to take a better picture then. Even though you don't really have to, since anyone who cares could just click on the pic to get a bigger image lol

i never jailbreaked it or anything it just come from nowhere after i left it turned of for 2 days in an airtight container

Crappy photo but that looks 100% normal to me. Post a better picture.

Are you blind? The screen has clearly shrunk, no doubt about it.

To the OP, it could be something you messed about with in accessibility settings, go through those one by one to check if its there. I think its 'zooming' related.

Hmmm, weird, you can make the screen zoom in and get larger, but you can't get any smaller than 100%, maybe the software is broke on yours and allowed it past the normal limit. Try restoring it.

restored it and everything no luck :( what can i do i cant afford to fork out another £500 for a new one as i currently saving for an ipad.

Assuming we believe what you say, i.e. no physical damage from drops or anything, then you have every right to book an appointment at the Apple store and get them to fix/replace it. It seriously looks really weird. I'd like to know what happened to it btw so post back on what they say.

its all official bought from apple online store and has never been dropped , and my nearest apple store is like 50 miles away. :(

take it to an apple store.

they will replace it, unless they can fix it.

you get 12 months warranty remember, this does not seem like a normal issue.

hmmmm i dont believe this

The OP could have taken a picture within the iPhone, then went to edit and added a black layer around it to make it look like it shrunk.

But i need another picture to be 100% sure

This fake folks, I can recreate this by taking a snaphshot of my home screen. Then I open the camera roll, then I pinch to zoom out, then take a second snapshot and voila! My screen "shrinked" too. Here is a foto I was able to make. Sorry for the Low quality but my laptop's webcam is all I have

this is not a fake its a genuine issue with my phone.

i left it turned of for 2 days with no battery then when i charged and turned back on its been like this since.

By the way, to further evidence that this is a fake...look at a previous post from this guy, his wishes for fixes on 4.0.2:
hope iPhone 4 issues are fixed in 4.0.3

does anyone else have these problems.

1.The proximity sensor always cuts my calls.

2.The screen is not stretched fully their is atleast 4 pixles from the edge of each side.

please responde if you...

im not a fake when i posted that it had originally moved 4 pixels from the boarder but since leaving my phone off for 2 days it has got worse. :(

what shall i do iv had it longer then 30 days aswell so cant get a refund or replacement.

Relax, you CAN get a replacement for any defects up to 1 year from purchase. Take it to an Apple store and have them look at it if you're THAT convinced there's an issue.

well you can all mock me but i have noticed it has shrunk a fraction and can tell all the app icons have been scaled down smaller. :( please is their anyone who knows how to fix this? thanks

Yeah. Should have gone to specsavers (=

we have instructed you to do what you need to do, so do it.

and be sure to update this thread when you do it.

Newbie tells me everything I need to know. The picture the OP posted might as well been of a UFO. It has the same telltale photo hijinks of all UFO pictures, off angle shot, dark and unclear.
