iPhone 4 shipping date

Hi all 🙂
I pre ordered the iPhone 4 on juni 15th from the french Apple store, but when I check my order status, the shipping date shows as
"25 Jun, 2010 - 28 Jun, 2010"

It actually says the iPhone will be shipped on june 24th, and arrive a few days later. Is this normal? I thought Apple timed it so that it arrives on launchday, or is this different in france?
