iphone 4 shuts off

I have it jailbroken on 4.1 to begin

Sometimes out of nowhere my iphone will shut off and I will have to reboot it by holding the power and home button. Usually notice it when I pull it out and click the button to find it unresponsive. Haven't had it die on my while using it..so far at least

Is this an os bug, associated with the jailbreak, or a sign of faulty hardware

It is rather infrequent (happened maybe 3 times in past 2 months)

Anyone else experience this?

Yes, had that happen to me a bunch of times too.
Not sure whats causing it but JB on 4.1 it hasnt done it to me yet.
