My GF's iphone 4 was stolen out of her purse at the bowling alley. Can ATT or Apple block its IME so the thief can't use it?

It also wont get his phone back either so to me its not like it matters.

there are stuff like track your iphone, but you need that service to be installed, and it is still not that reliable

i just integrate a miniature c4 pack into my iphone case, so if anyone steals my iphone, i'll just activate the c4 over wifi when my iphone connects to a wifi
