iPhone 4 Stuck in Recovery Mode

Ok I had jailbroken my iPhone 4...but was having some small issues with the phone. Attempted to do a restore an update, but it gets stuck at the "Restoring iPhone Software" screen.

Have no idea what to do...and I need it fixed asap. Any suggestions!?

I want to restore my 3GS and right before it is ready to do it, it says restore AND UPDATE. Im worried its going to update first because it starts downloading the newest software right away.(I am on 3.1.3)
If It updates right away im worried it might brick my phone.
Im not to sure how I need to go about properly restoring the phone..
Any one have any input?

(sorry no input to the OP, I'm just guessing he is where I will end up if I do the "update and restore" with out knowing what I'm doing)

Restored it from a different mac....that worked. Odd...
