I've been using my old iphone 4 as a ipod to listen to Audiobooks for several years. I'm using Itunes 12.10.4.2 currently. When syncing, I tunes finds the phone and currently shows no files under Audiobooks but on the phone itself, there are still several books taking up all of the space, preventing me from adding another. I tried re-syncing several times, turned the phone off/on but the problem persists. I thought I would try erasing all data from the phone but the AppleID it has in memory is an old one that isn't on icloud. I tried the password I had for this old id and it says I need an internet connection to complete the process (the phone has no service, so that won't happen).
I tried logging into icloud.com with this old AppleID but iit's not recognized. I logged into my current icloud account and this phone isn't on it. I am currently using an iphone 8 and I could try using Audible on that but I'm afraid my car stereo won't be compatible with it... (it's old too). I'm guessing there's some kind of disconnect in the newer version of I-tunes that isn't actually working properly with the iphone 4.
Is it possible to revert back to an older version of I-tunes?
