iPhone 4 sync hanging

at the top of iTunes it says

"Syncing Genius data to [iPhone]" (Step 6 of 6)
Waiting for items to copy

but the progress bar just stays empty. I'm running iOS5 and on my phone in the iTunes wi-fi sync settings page there's an empty progress bar too, but it says Step 4 of 4..rebooting didn't help.

I'm having the same thing happen. It's not taking a long time or anything and it's not causing any problems, I'm just curious as to why it keeps happening....

I'm on a Mac. Does it on both my iPhone and iPad...
