What exactly did you try?
Press and hold the home and sleep button at the same time. Hold until it forces a hard reset.
If that doesn't work trying connecting it to a computer and see what happens.
Connect it to the computer, open iTunes, hold down the hold and home buttons until iTunes sees the phone...

Weren't you told not to turn it on until the next day? Best Buy has a habit of using too much liquid and has ruined a number of phones. Hopefully BB will take care of you. Giving the phone a day to dry out is always the best choice.

Check your water sensors.
My phone was doing the same thing-- it would only respond to power cycling. It did this from day one. Maybe it isn't related to BB? I exchanged mine at the Apple store.
Wow. Mental note: Don't let BB install anything. That's awful.
