I am in a situation where I would appreciate feedback: I am using my wife's phone (BB Pearl with voice only; no data) to upgrade for an iPhone 4, and I currently have a Samsung Propel Pro (WinMo with voice + unlimited data). Once we get the iPhone, I would transfer my phone# to wife's, and she would continue using the BB with voice only (doesn't need data...).
Now, when I spoke with the ATT rep yesterday, I was informed that earlier one could have a BB with voice only, but now with recent changes in the ATT data plans, this is not possible. In other words, no one can have a BB phone w/o data plan. Hence, if they change her account "configuration" (from BB --> iPhone 4 --> BB), they will be forced to add data to her BB plan.
Anyone encountered the same issues? Your thoughts? Thanks.
