iphone 4 video conversion

I'm looking to take some videos i have and put them in itunes so i can play them on my iphone 4. I can't find a really good and free application for windows that will do this. Does anyone know of one? please let me know. thanks in advance

How do you get around the DVD copy protection. When I tired this in the past I would always get an error because of copy protect but now that I have an iPad I want to try and get movies copied over. If there a program to defeat the copy protection?

I use MacTheRipper, you can remove the copy protection and save it on your computer, then use Handbrake to make an iPhone compatible version. I have yet to find a DVD that I can't convert. Of course MacTheRipper is Mac only, but I'm sure there's some out there for Windows.
