iPhone 4 vs HTC Evo cartoon *NSFW*

My favorites are:

"It has an app that will build you an island and then it fu*king transforms into a jet and flies you there."

"It will grant you 3 wishes, even if one of those wishes is for an iPhone"

"I want the one with the bigger GB's"
 
The only thing I find funny about this is that it highlights why these iPhone competitors do not sell like the iPhone...too bad fanboys can't see it, but to spell it out for you: your spec sheet isn't what's going to sell your product - it's the benefit and the value to the consumer. Look at that new FaceTime promo, it creates benefit and value while everyone else is harping on megapixels, inches, and processors.

Nothing to do with sheep, it's that the other side does not know how to sell its own product.
 
iPhone screen is way better than Evo. Basically, the Evo is a 47" LCD that only does 720p, while the iPhone is 42" but it does 1080p. What would you choose. Plus the camera is better on the iPhone, it has a better image sensor. Megapixels dont mean ****.

You are missing it though. Its also making fun of Evo people rattling off all the specs and then making things up to try and convince the iPhone user.
 
Just about everything they were saying about the Evo' strengths is wrong.

-Megapixels don't matter. the iPhone 4's camera is miles better.

-4G speeds have shown to be unreliable and in most cases, are very similar to 3G speeds. Needless to say, 4G isn't even remotely close to being widely available.

-The EVO having a replaceable battery is a NECESSITY in that the battery is awful, awful, awful.

This video is absolutely trying to make all Apple fans out to look like ignorant fanboys. I'd have to disagree and say that whoever made this is a very arrogant Android fan.

To be honest, there were some good points made and a lot of the iPhone users I know are just like this. They're not all like the smart ones on MR - there's someone I could have a conversation just like this with. 🙄

Plus, I'd like a replaceable battery and 4G in my i4...

Edit: Oh, and the video was meant to be funny, which it was.

Alot of that is due to 2.1's slowness, not the Evo itself. Someone just did a benchmark test with the Evo, Droid X and Nexus one. The Evo and Droid were running 2.1 obviously and their mflops were around 6-8. The Nexus was running Froyo 2.2 and it was getting mflops of 54 which is ridiculously fast. So once you get 2.2 running on the Evo with 4G, its going to be insanely fast.
 
Very unfunny video, I didn't even chuckle once.

- 4G is slower than 3G in many cases, networks only exist in the sticks (NO access in NYC or CA) and drains the battery faster than draino.

- EVO camera is worse in every way than iPhone 4.

- iPhone 4 screen is better than EVO, resolution is way higher.

About the only factual comment in the entire video was that EVO video chat works over 3G / 4G, not just WiFi. It's pretty much irrelevant though because WiFi is everywhere you want to have a video chat.

Irrelevant and speculative. We can only evaluate cameras that exist, not cameras that don't exist. EVO with 2.2 currently does not exist. You might as well claim it can climb Mount Everest on its own, nobody can contradict you.

Dude, this video was made for people like you. Enjoy the humor. Often, those with good senses of humors can laugh at themselves, and we're probably all guilty of being overapologetic of Apple at times. Why wouldn't you want your phone to have 4G support? Plus, if Apple promised dramatically higher speeds in iOS5, you can bet everyone would be using it against 4G phones (LOLSOFTWAREUPDATEGONNAMAKEITFAST).

In all fairness, people were talking up all the iOS4 features many months before that was a reality and now its here. Evo will have 2.2 next month 🙂
 
Why does no one talk about Sprint's horrible coverage? Are they so hard up to make the Evo look better than the iPhone that they just accept and ignore Sprint's rep for being absolutely horrible?

People hate AT&T just as much and we still love our iPhones to death. 🙂

I have no issues with AT&T. I will never get Sprint. If the iPhone 4 went to sprint only I'd either just stay with my old iPhone, check out the droid phones AT&T offered, or check out the incredible.
