iphone 4 vs Nokia N8???

I just got an N8 from amazon last week and its already sent back for a refund. the build quality is excelent, the camera is also top notch.
The OS on the other hand, is just crap. Not even close to IOS or Android, try web surfing on the stock browser and you'll see, even opera 10.1 is not even close to the other browsers.
if you are looking for a nice camera with great mapsand GPS, then get the N8

Pr1,1 software is due out next week with a COMPLETELY new browser on it and further other enhancements. PR2,0 is also due out by the end of Feb/March which is supposed to be a massive upgrade (to something what Symbian^4 was going to deliver).

yeah, I'm aware of that; the phone is nice and some people will like it. You'll havt to try it for your self to see if it what you are looking for.

OK iOS5 will be released in Fall, thats a huge amount of time too, but that's not a delay and I'm 100% sure that Apple won't delay anytime like Nokia do.

I bought Nokia N900 last winter and regret it so much. I thought that specs are all, but I was wrong. The OS (Maemo) got abandoned on version 1.3 and left with huge porition of critical bugs. If you can wait few months, wait for the iPhone 5. If you need something now, get iP4 or an Android phone.

Just don't by phone with dead OS! Nokia said that they are going to discontinue Symbian. OS is the soul of the phone and believe me, you can have great specs but if the software is updated, slow and buggy... it doesn't matter anymore.

video calling is available on iPhone with more than just facetime:

you can use qik to video call with android phones,

you can use skype to video call with any device that supports skype video

iPhone 4. Definitely.

I actually made a stupid decision a long time ago. I thought I'd try the N8 so I traded my iP4 for an N8. Worst decision ever.

I had the N8 for a week then sold it. After the browser froze the entire phone because I tried to play a flash video, THREE times in one hour, I decided that I've had enough.

Camera is great, hardware too. But the OS is **** in every way imaginable. Lack of apps, buggy, confusing and the phone froze so bad I had to reset it when I tried to do something simple like watch a flash video. Symbian? Never gonna touch it again, I'm glad Nokia decided to abandon it.
