Just out of curiosity, how do you make something like a logo in the center of the picture disappear, what photoshop trick do you use?
and how do you make retina version of any wallpaper? as far as I know its not possible to increase the resolution.

I don't use photoshop since it's sort of expensive and I don't need it for my major.

However I use a similar app called pixelmator which i downloaded from the Mac App Store and I use this thing called the "heal" tool which basically erases anything and leaves the background intact.

It's so simple to use, it feels like cheating.

Any chance you could make the stipes more of a white theme to match the first one you made? And instead of the huge rainbow apple logo, just a little one in either the middle or bottom right corner (so it can be seen through the apps)?
