Liked the background in the Card case app from Square so I did some digging and made it into a wall. :p

Question for those good at photo editing, is there an inexpensive app for mac that has the feature to remove words from a picture, like some pictures have a the photographer or companies website in the corner of the photo.

i know Photoshop can do this but im not a photographer and dont need a few hundred dollar app, i just like to make my wallpapers and it seems like 50% of the photos have some kinda advertisment on them

thanks

I've never actually used it, but i'm sure gimp can get the job done.

PixelMator ($29) has content-aware fill: http://goo.gl/1HUjO and if you want free, there is Gimp: http://goo.gl/WkWLB or you can try this web-based solution at WebInPaint: http://webinpaint.com/

Thanks I've used gimp before, what would that process be called so I can search for tutorial on doing it

"Using Content Aware fill in Gimp" should get you the results you're looking for. Seems there are quite a few YouTube vids/tutorials on this as well.

I use an app on my phone. Touch Retouch I think it's called. Not sure. Don't have my phone at the moment (my boss pushed me in a pool the other night with my phone in my pocket). But it works great, is cheap and is really easy to use.
