Any chance on getting some White Sox ones like these? I would especially love a throwback logo... preferably the 1985 like this guy... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/32/White_Sox_old_logo.png

By the way, these look awesome. Mind me asking you how you are doing these? Photoshop with a filter or what?

+1, I could probably do it but nowhere NEAR as fast as you are, I'm wondering if you are blowing the white out of a layer to avoid having to mask the front logo, or if you are a rockstar masker :D

Thanks again - I added more requests on the last page, but I see you are being inundated, so no biggie if you can't get to arsenal or aston villa.

Thanks again from all of us!

Yeah, master masker is right! It would take me a day to cut these logos out. Maybe I just need a better process for masking/background extraction! Im gonna play around with this some! I love the idea!

anonymous6237 - those are awesome. Can you please do a Chicago Bulls one when you get a chance?? It will be greatly appreciated. :D

Newer versions of photoshop proportedly have better tools to do this - not that I'm sure that's how he's doing it... There may be some fast way that I'm unsure of.. i'm not great in post at this point. It could be a layer blend option with an adjustment layer over it.

Ok guys here is the list I am working off of for now:

Syracuse
Arsenal
White Sox
Bulls
New York Rangers
Twins
Vikings
Raiders

Sorry if I missed anything and feel free to keep requesting.

go back a page, I asked for and received united and chelsea.

The United one looks BRILLIANT on the lockscreen. perfect fit, opacity, everything. Really good job Anon!

Thanks alot, I don't know how I missed that. It looks super awesome btw, thanks again Anon.

Yep, I can get the layer effect but the logo extraction he does is PERFECT! Im running CS3 and simply cant justify the cost of the upgrade right now.

I've finished up through Notre Dame and I'll post them in a minute.

As far as speed goes here are my thoughts:

1) A high level of photoshop experience helps. I work in Photoshop CS5 on a daily basis and have a high level of comfort with the tools I use. (Now if you told me to do some basic photo retouching I'd struggle a little. Graphic design is my thing, not photography)

2) I also work with a rather powerful computer which helps ease the frustrations many people have with Photoshop because it is a little resource intensive

3) I also have a good supply of high resolution logos on very plain colored backgrounds which helps with the extraction. Also your level of precision isn't as high when you're putting them on the wood background as that will make imperfections hard to see.

4) As far as the effect goes, the layer style "overlay" does all the work :D

If I violated anyone's intellectual property I'm sorry. I made an arsenal one with the original wood Anon posted. I was right, it's a layer overlay... not too time consuming if you find a good beginning logo...no masking is necessary in most cases. His are more refined I think - I didn't play with opacity too much and the gold looks a bit off to me.. as far as making it look like a decal. This took about 20 seconds though. ANON! you beat me to this... I figured I wanted to learn and best to try by example, i'm thinking yours is going to look better! Thanks again. I'm the other way, I am way better at photography post than graphic design..

AH HA!! plain colored background is key for extraction. So do you just select the color range and delete it or are you masking it by color range?

Nice work, any chance you can do NY Mets?

Here's my current wallpaper:

Nice work h00ligan! Im sure anonymous would be proud!

You have this in any other teams?

Sorry, I don't. If I had hats from other teams I could probably try to make them. Thinking about it, I might have a "Nats" hat at home somewhere, I'll give it a try.

Know you're a mets fan, but do you have a yankees version of that? :D

Sorry, no Yanks hats in my house :) But next time my buddy comes over I'll have him give up his hat for a photo shoot.
