iPhone 4 without contract in NYC, US?

Hello guys, what is the contract-free iPhone 4 price in the USA at the moment? I thought it was $599 but my friend back at the US told me it was $650.

Secondly, do Apple Stores in NYC have iPhone 4 in stock nowadays?

Its $599 plus tax depending on the state the amount will vary.
And even though it might be contract free its not unlocked and will only work with AT&T sims.
