I 'had' the same issue coming from iPhone 3G--'restoring' from its data. But I tried the following and I have had NO problem since (knock on wood):

In the settings, try "reset" (the first one, the one that doesn't erase anything). :)

thanks! looks like this worked for me too :D

This one works! Thanks a lot!!!

i tried this last night and push is now working properly for me as well. thanks for the advice!
i would prefer to turn it on and off at different times during the day (off while i'm at work) but i haven't risked turning it off yet since it is finally working.

Well, I'm glad this works for you all! :)

So, to make clear:

Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

(Keep on knocking on wood!)

Does this one reset all the little settings tweaks that I have made? There are a fair number of adjustments I have made from the default. I have been doing the delete the mail account and then re-add and it has been working for me.

It does reset some of the little things but I'd you want your yahoo to work; I suggest doing it.

I had to reset my phone again today after theaul stopped pushing. It is now working again but what a pain.

Same, unfortunately this fix is really temporary. For all Yahoo email users, I suggest to report a bug to Apple about this.

I tried this fix and it blew away lots of my App data. Did keep my SMS and mail but lost:

- Shazam songs (like to remember a date when I heard a song I wanted)
- High Scores in many games
- lots of passwords for apps need to redo

I'm restoring my phone from the previous backup to get that stuff back.

To me it seems like it's a problem with Yahoo, as push doesn't work on either my Iphone 4 or my Ipad. I have to retrieve messages manually on both.

Seems all these fixes are temporary indeed, the funny thing it is it worked great for me before 4.0 so I'm leaning towards software being the issue..

And I had to reset again. I wish they would fix this for crying out loud.

When you travel in an area where it's low (or no) signal, AND you attempt to access the internet (or use data), you're done! You will have to reset the settings once more.

But there's a better option: Just reset the network settings instead! Thus, no more reconfiguring your stuff!

Still...

It seems that every 2 weeks I need to do this. Apple, please fix this!!

iPhone 4 yahoo email is frozen

My two yahoo email accounts were working fine until I replied recently and my screens froze on a "Message sent!" page. The weird thing is that I can open both yahoo accounts and do everything except open my email. The minute I open yahoo email I get this screen and the email is frozen. It happens both on the account I was in when it first froze and also my other yahoo account.

Is there any way I can fix this and get to my email? Right now I have no access at all to either email account on my iphone 4. I have no yahoo problems on my desktop but I can't carry it with me all day...

You are probably going to have to follow the reset procedure listed above. I have to do it about every 2 weeks or so. The Hotmail push mail has been excellent though.

Might Work!

I had the issue of the emails not downloading at all. Only thing I did that worked was left the "Name" slot blank and then it started dowloading all my emails again. Hope this helps.
