Hehe, I'll be downgrading to the 8GB iPhone 4. That's seriously all I use. My partner gets my old 16GB iPhone 4.

That's such an amazingly mild spec boost... I don't know how anyone could be satisfied with it. 16 months and all we get is that?

It's faster in every way. I bet if apple put a 3GS in a new case you would be happy because it looks different. I can easily fill 64gb.

I'm not getting it as I have a Droid x. As meh as that phone is, it's still a free work phone.

What is wrong with you? Are you such a fanboy that you are excited at mediocrity? This "bump" is so meh its not even funny.

What a great way for the new CEO to address the world, an over hyped conference full of nothing.

very true...what a load of over-hyped **** , samsung are going to put the 4S into insignificance with the Nexus Prime and the SGS3,....

64gb??...wow..iv got 48gb in my SGS2 and still have 20gb free, and i couldn't even think of what else to put on it.....this siri thing??...who in the real world is going to talk to their phone???...come on!!...that apple, was a major major let down...did it take them 18months to come up with that!!!...

Now if my iPhone let me play my .flac music files natively, I'd be all over the 64GB model.

Pretty much like the jump from the iPhone 3G to 3GS. If you already have a iPhone 4 the 4S might not be compelling enough to upgrade to. If you don't have an iPhone 4 and maybe have an older iPhone this will be a huge upgrade.

For me I really wanted 64GB storage, the A5 processor, and an even better camera. So that along with Siri makes it a compelling upgrade for me. I have bought every new iPhone since the 3G so I will probably sell my 32GB iPhone 4 and get a 64GB iPhone 4S. It is going to be expensive since I am only 16 months into my 2 year AT&T contract. I wonder if I will have to pay full price for the 4S?

OMGZZZZ!!!!!!!!

$400 for a subsidized phone?

It's called current pricing on flash memory.

Current pricing?? For 28 months they've been selling 16GB and 32GB iPhone models at 199/299 subsidized and they're continuing that now. I'm sure the pricing for that flash memory has surely gone down by this point.

The damn thing is going to be $800-900 unsubsidized which in 2011 is just insane.

^Exactly, I'm sure the 64gb could have easily been $299, and the 32gb been $199, but why pass on the savings to us

Actually if you look at things like flash drives, nothing has gone down in price for almost 8 months, and even then it was a small price drop... Thanks to Japan getting hit by the earthquake about 12% of the flash factories are still out of commission. I would definitely say next year the price will go down and to expect a 128gb iPod touch to say goodnight to the iPod classic. But I'm not surprised by the 64gb price at all

at a $399 price tag?!?! Get real apple

its more than anyone else offers. Most people give you 8gb for $200, and thats it. Some give you 16gb for that price. But nobody is offering anything above 32gb for 299. Now, if you want it and can afford it, theres the 64gb option. Its not like they took away the 199 option, so why does it matter?

great size but the price is retarded

ill get the 16gb version and just move stuff on and off as i need it

its not an ideal situation but for 200 dollar savings ill make the effort

To be fair, most of them give you an SD slot.

Apple has been selling their 16gb and 32gb flash devices for $199 and $299 for over 2 years now.

Technology hasn't changed at all in the last two years?

$400 + tax for a subsidized phone? This is just getting more comical everyday. Apple has dropped the ball on this one for sure.
