It's obvious to me after jailbreaking my iPhone 5s that the battery does indeed drain faster. It also randomly crashed a lot. It is safe to say the battery drains around twice as fast and I tested this by limiting the evasion apps to the ones that I thought would not use any extra power. I.e. no themes, no WinterBoard, no animations and no widgets. Then I limited the use of my phone to the typical tasks like listening to music and browsing the web. No resprings, no installs or updates. My conclusion is that while my phone was jailbroken, it used the battery up around twice as fast as when not jailbroken. I can easily get 9 hours of usage and 52 hours standby. The Evasion apps I had installed: Activator, CyDelete7, NoPageDots7, ClipShot, BlurredMusicApp, Purge, SpotDefine, SwipeSelection, TransparentVolume and DockShift. I have over 100 apps installed from the App Store and none of them drain my battery unusually fast or crash the phone completely. I don't see any reason to jailbreak the iPhone. It works better and longer just the way it is from Apple.

Why'd you revive a 12+ month old thread?

Everyone's needs and preferences will be different

Activator has been known to supposedly drain battery if you have a lot of actions assigned to it

On the other hand, I have a bunch more tweaks installed and I don't experience any crashes. I do find myself rebooting the device around once every week due to lag
