iphone 4s and applecare plus help

hi i am new here and looking for some help. i bought my daughter a 4s last christmas and bought applecare+ a few months ago she lost her phone and did not activate the lost phone app, anyway i bought a used 4s from a friend is it covered or do i need to do something???

That sucks!!! Unfortunately, I don't believe lost/stolen phones are covered by AppleCare.

I believe that AppleCare is tied to the phone, not the individual, so you would need to get AppleCare on your "new" phone. However, I'm not sure they offer it for phones bought second-hand. I would call Apple, personally, and just get the straight dope from them.

There is no doubt that Apple Care is tied to that particular phone only.
