iPhone 4S Buzzy Vibration

I'm on my 4th iPhone 4S replacement now due to numerous other faults. The current device I have makes a louder than usual buzzing noise when the phone vibrates. My previous devices weren't as loud when they vibrated.

Is this actually a faulty vibration motor or is it normal with some devices?
