So, just got my new iPhone and docked it in an old speaker dock at the office that previously did not charge on my 3GS. To my surprise I did not get the error that charging was not supported and the phone seemed to charge just fine. Was this common with the iPhone 4 also? I am assuming the speaker dock I have uses firewire charging and I thought all new apple products were USB only.

Any input?
