I iMaconApple macrumors 6502a Oct 16, 2011 #2 never heard of this...try rebooting the iphone..or restore it..does the back camera work? this is stock iOS right?

Both cameras work fine but, when I got into FaceTime and use the front-facing camera, it starts to get statically and then turns black and it will stay like that until I switch cameras and then switch back and it's fine. And, yes, it's stock iOS.

Applejuiced macrumors Westmere Oct 16, 2011 #4 Try a restore and setup as new. Sounds like a software issue.
