Hi everyone
I would like to know weather iPhone 4s would still be good for six odd months while I wait for 6s?

I am not a heavy user, whatsapp, tapatalk, surfing and a few e-shopping apps are what I run on my phone nothing else really.

Would 4s still be good?

I am from India and new 4s are available here and think they will come with iOS 6, will it be better to keep it at 6 or updating to newer version is better?

5s is not an option as I don't want to put too much money into it now and would rather save money for November when the new version is launched in India. I previously was considering (last year) getting 5s but then thought better to wait for newer version which unfortunately came in bigger size which I didn't wanted so I skipped that but now I think if still 4" isn't launched this year then I will get a 6s so need a backup till then.

Plan to order it by today evening so quick help would be great.

Regards

It works great for me! Running those apps should be fine, it's not really that slow either! Might not be as fast as a 5 or 6 but it's really not that bad. Takes about 5 seconds to load facebook app, I'm on iOS7.

I would avoid updating to iOS8 but iOS7 is still quick on my 4S. I don't know if you can still get iOS7 though.

I think it would be a good choice for you to get it!

If your uses are basic, then I would go for it. Of course, the next question is: how much are you going to pay for it?

I am going to pay 14.5k Indian Rupees about $230.

OK thanks mate, that's good to know. I hope I can get one with iOS 6 or 7 and not iOS 8.

The 4S will suit your purposes just fine. You may even decide to keep it longer than six months.

4s cannt run higher ios system

dude,u know what i feel now?i regret to spend so much cash to buy 4s 2 years ago,cuz it cannt even run ios 6,now i can only use this phone to call and text.
many useful apps cannt be installed on my poor ios 5.
well, this is my own opinion, just for your reference.

Upgrade to the latest firmware, and you are ready to go.

In the long term 6-months is not very long. I would suggest save your money, wait and get yourself a newer iPhone which will last for longer (in terms of iOS lifecycle). I am due for an upgrade next month, however will keep my iPhone 5 and wait until the next-gen is out. Sometimes waiting is worth it.

Mixed opinions have got me confused, now thinking of sticking with my Android till the new version is released.

Thanks you guys
