You guys are selling your 4S at a time when thousands of other people are selling theirs. Some people are just desperate to recoup some money back, so they ask less. This in turn drives market value down.

This is EXACTLY why I sell exactly 2 weeks BEFORE ANNOUNCEMENT of the new iPhone every year. Then I just chug along with another phone for a few weeks.

I got $560 for my 64GB 4S last month.

funny, i got $500 for my 64gb 4s in august, then got tired of using my dumbphone, so bought another 64gb 4s just before the keynote for 399. traded it in to ebay for 400, just shipped it out monday. basically a free rental.

the 5 isn't looking all that awesome right now. thinking i may grab a 64gb 4s if i can find one for 350-375, and save my upgrade for the 5s (or whatever).

GameStop is giving a huge value over gazelle, even their cash value is better than gazelle and anyone else. You cannot compare the iPhone to the any android. The reason android phones are low is because there are a crap ton of models out there. More models = more choices = lower demand on each model.

Check gamestops website if you don't believe me. I traded in my gfs iPhone for her. She got $320 for her 4S 64gb without sending a phone in waiting for it to sell on the bay/scamlist
