iphone 4s not receiving messages :(

theres still plenty of space, over 7GB but it can't seem to receive messages, eg gmail, sometimes requires you to put in a verification code they send to your mobile, and my mobile network messages which l dial to request a message to check my usage, can't be received either. is there a setting so l can receive msgs again?

So you mean your Gmail emails are not coming through?

Do you have any other email accounts to see if those are coming through?

sorry for not making it clear, l am not receiving sms msgs, with regards to gmail app on my iphone 4s, l need to receive a verification code to login but cant receive, infact l cant access any sms msgs anymore also l cant send either it says "! Not Delivered" "message send failure"
any idea?
