What made previous attempts at voice control more of a gimmick than a value-added feature was the need to use a narrow and precise command structure. It's been part of iOS for a couple of years too, and was still a gimmick.
I really like the concept of siri, and i hope that it can get better over the years, BUT, i think apple is just making us become lazier human beings.

Yeah, I think if you couldn't tell Siri to play songs without an internet connection, that'd be a massive fail.
The current voice control on the iPhone 3GS/iPhone 4 can do that.
Don't let the downranks get you down. I feel the same. Seems gimmicky at best, something of a novelty that will see a spike in usage and then will slowly fade away.
If it's tied to server infrastructure rather than local software, it also becomes a liability down the road where if the feature is not so successful, Apple might just close up shop, making the feature completely unusable. It also means it's prone to network outages and disruptions.
It's a better form of voice control no doubt, but it's not even close to what I think people's expection for it are. It's not "Star Trek" on your phone that's for sure, at best it's a better Dragon Dictation tied to Google that can also pipe some commands in select apps.
There's a way to erase the stream (not individual pictures), though its location is completely idiotic, but hey... what gives, at least, there's a button..."There is an option to enable Photostream, which keeps every picture you take for ever. Be warned. You cannot delete a picture once it is in Photostream. There may well be blushes within families who share devices and discover that a photo they would rather not be seen is permanently on view, but they'll have to learn the hard way."
