Anyone having issues getting their phone to activate with sprint? I have called talked to 3 different people.. have reset this stupid phone 6 times, I have been told to enter ##873283# at the phone pad and nothing happens.. been sitting on hold with Apple Care forever.......
 
Were you able to enter your IMEI code online and get it activated? That's where I'm running into an issue.

No I had to call them.. they were able to assist there but the phone never "activated" on my end... Just says No Service.
 
I know there were issues with ATT but havent heard of any with Sprint... not sure if I just got a defect or what.

I’ve been having issues activating too. I got mine right at 8 AM CST. Still nothing. Just got off the phone with Sprint customer service (it thankfully works to call them and they recommended resetting the entire phone. I’ve tried that and still nothing. They said my number had been ported over just fine. No joy on my end though.

Same here - just got off the phone with Apple Care. They say the phone is fine and it is normal that the phone says "No Service" until it is activated. So back to sprint I go.... let me know if you get it figured out and I will do the same.

I did have this same problem with my phone.

I activated online since I figured the call center would be swamped.

After entering my IMEI number, I had to turn off the phone and turn it back on.

about 30 seconds after it turned on, it found service and was good to go.

Has anyone tried turning off the phone?
 
Had the same problem...

I activated using the phone...no service.

Then I went to Sprint's website and activated. At the last step when I was choosing a plan, it asked me to call customer service or initiate a chat.

Even when chatting the CSR rep tried twice before we were able to get it activated. I had to power cycle multiple times even after the activation but finally they got it to work.

Once activated, you'll receive a prompt saying "your phone is activated".

What number did you enter? The one on the apple box? I enter what is on the apple box and it says it cannot find the code.

On the bottom of your box, there is a sticker with a Part Number, Serial Number, ICCID, Bar Code and IMEI/MEID.

It is the 14 digit IMEI/MEID number you want to use.

This is an upgrade from my HTC Evo 4G. The new iPhone is listed on my account page but still no dice.

Are you hitting talk after entering that code?
 
I didn't even have to activate my phone, just turned it on and it worked. I'm new to Sprint though so maybe that has something to do with it
