iphone 4s start up problems help !

Hi all

I'be purchased to day and iphone 4s ...
The phone was off an auction website ...and i collected for the saler ...the phone is boxed and complete with the actual sales recipt from apple in exeter uk

The phone is unlocked ...but was useing orange network ...but i need to use 3 three..and habe purchased the micro sim ..installed ..

I've turned the phone on and it wants to activate ..i have no access to a wi-fi network so i am tryingn to get the phone to activate via the 3g .....

The phone keeps showing a screen ' could not activate iphone '

The phone is showing a 3g signal ....and a box at the bottom of the screen 'try again over mobile ' i have touhed that a few times and it 'looks' the returns to ' coild not activae iphone '
Do i need to leave the phone for a time while it works out its fitted with a different sim ?
Or havei not set up correctly
Please help ..my daughter driving me nutts

The micro sim will be recognised instantly so there should be no delay there.

I would suggest you need to hook up the phone to iTunes and follow the prompts.
