iphone 4s unlocking

I bought a 4s as graduation gift and was marked as new & unlocked on ebay. Sadly it is locked to O2. Is there any way to get it unlocked? The seller isn't answering any of my questions, msgs or emails, nor answering his mobile phone.

File claim with Ebay. Currently, there is no jailbreak nor unlock for 4S.

Yeah, the guy said that since I opened the package, he is only able to pay 420gbp back fron the 525gbp I originally paid a week ago. How on earth could I have checked if it's unlocked without opening the package?!

Really don't know what to do now

I don't see that mater. If it is unlocked, it will remain unlock when you open the package. IMEI #s on the phone match the IMEI # on the box and that mater. Just keep file claim up to Ebay & Paypal and you will get your money back.
