I jailbroke my iphone 4s 8.1.1 and within a half an hour decided to erase all content and settings. . . since doing that it took me to the activation process on my iphone. I get the error message.
    "Could Not Activate Iphone"

"Your Iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your iphone to itunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes."

I was on the phone with apple support for an hour and a half and could not resolve my issue. . . so i am now stuck with a phone that does not work. . . i can not put my phone in recovery mode to even think about restoring because my power button (top button) does not work. I've tried using itunes and get the same error message i got trying to activate with just the phone. Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

    Thanks.

    Basic jb 101.
You never ever ever do an erase all on a jb device.
    Restore it with itunes.
That's the only way to go back to stock ios.
Not by hitting erase all on a device that is jailbroken.
If you have a hardware issue with the button not working you might have to fix it in order to dfu restore it.

You can try letting the battery go down till it dies and shuts off.
Then plug it to iTunes while keeping home button down until iTunes detects it in restore mode and lets you restore it.
Make sure you keep holding the home button down while the phone gets an initial charge and gets detected by iTunes in order to restore.

Ok. . . There has to be another way to get you're iphone into restore mode . . . it would take days and plus some to let a phone die that isnt being used at all.

    Good luck then.
Either wait or have your power button repaired.

Great, but you should still get that power button fixed;)
And try not to do an erase all again on a JB device.
