Roger's has just dropped the 16GB iPhone 5 to $99 on a 3 yr plan. The soon to be replaced 32GB GS3 is going for $99 on a 3 yr plan. A price drop like this for Apple this early is unheard of. Apple finally feeling the pinch? I think so.

Apple aint dropping the price, but the carriers! I dont think you understand a subsidie phone to a retail price phone.

Wow, you're so upset at this news that you decided to put words in my mouth. Where did I say Apple dropped the price.
BTW, don't for one second think Apple has no involvement with this. As I said, this has never happened in the history of the iPhone. Why Now? One word: Competition!

O.0 lol wat? Why would i be upset? Is you mad brah?

3 year contract? Forget that noise. But makes sense. 2 year contract in the US is $199.

The truth comes out. You have two accounts!

We are royally screwed in Canada for our carrier contracts.

A single canadian carrier is dropping the price for the iPhone 5 in a long-long-term contract... Apple must be in trouble!

How many more accounts do you use to troll here?

Samsung will not be pleased at your cover being blown this way. Either opt for self-immolation or wait for the inevitable knock at the door. :D

I'm not a fan of 2 year contracts never mind 3. That's too long.
Who keeps the same phone for 3 years nowadays?

I think a better question is how does a phone last 3 years nowadays? My 4S was in perfect condition, never dropped, not a scratch. Had that for 16 months before the lock button broke. Even getting a phone to last the 2 year contract is very hard to do.

Wow, really? It never ceases to amaze me when someone hates a brand to the point they will bash it no matter what. Just come out and say YOU hate Samsung and don't care for any of their products regardless of how good they may be. It's ok to hate a brand just for the heck of it, as long as you just admit it. Don't you find it stressful to make up reasons to hate something. It's not worth the stress bro.

Yes it never ceases to amaze

This is pretty funny. OP shot themselves in the foot and proved they were trolling with two accounts. :p

And in the UK it's not uncommon for iPhones to be free when purchased with a contract. What's your point?

Don't forget there's competition within service providers too.

3 Year plan? What sort of mug would get sucked in to that??

I agree completely, but I know several. My mother in law wanted an iPhone, and went last year to get one. She got a 3G 8GB iPhone for "free" and signed up for a 2 year contract. It was outdated when she got it, and I cringe when I see it.

Worst of all, she wanted to make sure it was safe, so bought an $80 OtterBox case...

There are others that have done similar things, but it just goes to show you that someone will sign up for it.
