Hey guys!

I changed the battery of my iPhone 5 and now it seems as if something is wrong with the hardware.

I can't turn on my phone (only black screen) but the phone is recognized by iTunes because of the DFU mode. I can't seem to leave the mode and I can't restore the phone because it gets stuck at the Apple logo with the progress bar and nothing happens while iTunes is saying "waiting for iPhone".

Any help what could possibly have went wrong?

I'm out of warranty so this is going to be an expensive adventure. :(

Yes, I am afraid so...hopefully, it's just the battery and not something more complicated...

I also think it is the hardware issue. Did you repair your iPhone in the official Apple Store? You'd better return to the repair store and ask for the help.
