I took my first dark photo with the flash tonight and noticed something disappointing. The camera didn't take the photo until after the flash fired resulting in a very dark photo. Since then I have been testing it and this happens every time.

The flash fires and lights things up nicely. After the flash goes dark, the camera takes the picture resulting in very dark photos. I'm actually having better luck without the flash.

Is anybody else experiencing this or should I be calling for a replacement? This does not happen with my 4S running iOS 6, so it doesn't appear to be an iOS 6 issue. It's like the camera is too slow, even though it seems faster without the flash on.

I've seen another thread about this, you should definitely take it to an Apple store or send it in. Just another defect from this first batch it seems
