OK just bought the 5 a few weeks ago and this is my first apple product. My camera worked just fine for about a day and then the camera shutter locked up and wont open now. It did come back briefly for a few minutes one time and allowed me to take a picture, but now its been locked for weeks and will not let me click anything on the camera screen at all.
Any ideas?

Thanks

the shutter not opening as in you see the sctual shutter closed on the screen when you enter the camer app?

this has been well documented since the iphone 4 (google search it). its usually caused by a hardware defect, namely the camera module itself failing. you can try to restore the phone and see if its a software issue. if not, bring it to apple for a free replacement.

my friend had an iphone 4 with this problem, i had to replace the camera module itself and it worked again.
