Hey,
I just noticed a dead(?) pixel in the upper left corner of my iPhone 5S.
I don't know if I should live with it or if I should get a replacement, since I don't know if I'd get either a sealed or a refurbished one. I don't really want a refurbished since it's just a few days old.
It's really tiny and you only notice it on black backgrounds...
If I go to the next apple store this weekend and show the genius my problem, is it likely that I will get a sealed one ?

Will be a refurbished .... but if yours is just a few days old, why don't you take it back to Apple Store and pick another ?
I think that within 15 days you can do that

I didn't buy it at the apple store, but at t-mobile. :(

Spare pixels can be bought from Ebay now.

I recently paid for two but they must have fallen out of the envelope as I couldn't see them on their arrival.

One of the reasons I always purchased through Apple and not a carrier. If you purchase through apple and its within your return period, they would replace your phone with a brand new sealed device. If purchased elsewhere, you get a replacement box phone.

Apple store or online apple its always 30 days for an iPhone... Always

Carrier store and it almost always 14 days from purchase

California purchase at a carrier store and you have 30 days.

I think it's a little different here in Europe.

Apple store has a 14 days return policy, but carrier or any other store hasn't, unless you buy it online (than you have a 15 days return window).

No 30-days policy in Europe ...
