Iphone 5 delivery in october

I'm hoping for an earlier date also. The rep I spoke to said the 2nd is the absolute latest you'll get it and could come sooner.

While I'm not expecting a 21st sooner I'll be happy with it between the 24th and 28th.

Yeah that would be nice, I am hoping to receive a shipping email in the next few days!:D

Could people with the 10/5 date get it sooner
 
I did get my iPhone 4 the day before launch day 2yrs ago, maybe this is karma? I hope not. I'll check my order status tomorrow afternoon and see if anything changes??

I just have a feeling we will get it before Oct 2, 5 or whatever. I can't see it staying on that track, I know apple anticipated this amount if not more and will get bumped up. also, with others cancelling maybe it will bump our dates even closer? a lot may change in 24hrs with them getting back to work tomorrow.
 
I have a Delivery date of oct 10th, is it worth cancelling and going by walmart/radioshack/att ? if so what are the chances of geting a phone that wasnt pre ordered :confused:

That's so far off you may have a better shot at just going I to Apple, Walmart, Bestbuy, Radio Shack, or AT&T and getting one.

I hope I get it on that week too! Because thats my bday week and I took off wednesday thurs and fri and I have the weekends off so maybe it will come a little early that would be nice lol
 
I think Apple just gives a certain time frame for delivery. My delivery date is
oct 9 and i preorders it at 515am (EST)

I think apple just gives that 2 week buffer zone so you dont expect it on the day it shows you. I believe its just an estimate (crosses fingers) i know some people who ordered it within the hour and there delivery day says oct 2 as well and i know some who says that theres is the 21st.

this happened to me too and i have the email confirm at 3:53 as well quoting "delivers 9/21" but now have a 10/5 date. Im hoping it ships earlier though.
 
For those of you who are anxious or impatient about the delivery date there is some precedent for early deliveries with Apple.

Last year I ordered an iPhone 4S on October 9 with an expected delivery date of Oct. 24-31. The order shipped on the 17th and delivered on the 20th.

Of course there are a lot of variables and what happened last year doesn't mean that the same thing will occur this year. I'm just pointing out that the October date is probably representative of the latest you'll receive your order, as others have pointed out.

either going to an apple store on the 21st or hoping radio shack calls me the 20th to tell me its waiting..


..fortunately around here there are quite a few places to get one, many att, rs, walmart, bestbuy, and apple stores..

(but there are also a lot of students and apple fans...so lines will be insane im sure)

Well, I ordered mine at 3:30am within the first hour and I still have an Oct 5th ship date! Pisses me off because I know someone who ordered at 4p, and already has their tracking # for Friday delivery. I don't get how this worked out at all.
 
Just want to update everyone. Although I was given an Oct 5 th delivery date originally, I just received an email from Apple that my phone has shipped & will arrive on the 28th. So I'm getting it a week earlier. Hope that gives some of you hope!

Just wanted to let every one know I just got an email from apple and apple has bumped me up to the 28 of sept.

i know exactly how you feel. at&t told me im pushed to the beginning of oct. i too ordered mine at 5am (pst) on friday through at&t website.
today i saw a lady at cost plus with the white one and it looks amazing!
maybe next time around, i'll think twice before i preorder, especially since i already sold my iphone 4 which i must ship to the buyer by oct 1st :(
nothing to do but be patient i guess!
