Happened to me too, mine works fine after but I noticed the volume while talking on the phone is lower then what it normally was I think. Honestly, I never talk on the phone anyway so I don't care as long as I can hear it and the bottom speaker works good.

Depends on the store and the genius. If you were in my store, you'd be out of luck. We never covered the "idiot clause". You also never mentioned squaretrade or AppleCare+. Those are kind of key points to the story. What a bozo.

Well to be honest those were never part of my post either. Someone else brought up the return aspect. It works fine right now, and when/if it stops, I'll do the OOW replacement and get my refund from squaretrade. Appreciate all the feedback.

Already called and they said to bring it in and I can do an out of warranty replacement. Said because it fell in a toilet they won't even look at it, just replace. Besides all this, wouldn't a supposed "former apple genius" know that apple care and squaretrade cover water damage. What a bozo.

I'm missing something here... if there's no water damage, why is phone out of warranty? Also, why does phone need to be replaced?
